Howick Sea Scouts is always open to people who want to contribute to the group in some way, by volunteering at Howick Sea Scouts you are not only benefiting the group but you are also helping youth in the wider community enjoy the resources, knowledge and fun we have to offer. Some of the roles that need your help include:
- Kea leaders
- Cub Leaders
- Venturer leaders
- Skippers, sailors, boat builders or anyone with a wide range of boating knowledge
- Fundraising and grant applications
- Property maintenance: lawns/cleaning and building maintenance
- Gear maintenance: organizing tents, cookers and any other camping gear
- Boat maintenance: fixing boat parts, keeping boats in a tidy condition and keeping boats up to safety regulations and standards

If you are unable to help us in one of the ways above, we still need your help! We have lots of weekend activities, camps and regattas that we attend and having a extra tow-bar to tow a boat or being able to fill in for a leader that cannot make it all helps in the end!
