BE PREPARED - BADEN POWELL, FOUNDER OF SCOUTING
Howick Sea Scouts is one of the very successful Sea Scout groups in New Zealand. We teach the youth in our community what it takes and how to be a good citizen and learn valuable skills to help them further in life. We also specialize in teaching youth on how to sail, row, kayak and do other water activities. Camping, fire-making, and badge work are just a few of the many fun filled activities we offer to our community`s youth. We also work towards all the different Scouting Award Schemes to help our youth achieve new heights, these award schemes all lead up to the most prestigious award in the whole of Scouting New Zealand, the Queen Scout Award. Scouts equip young people aged 6 to 18 with life skills of problem-solving, teamwork, citizenship, and healthy living; and provide them with access to a large range of outdoor activities including the specialized Scout caving, photography, flying, canoe and snow schools.
